Heavy Duty is a local band that consists of 3 people and one cup.
Now that they have released their EP i wanted to write words in lovely engrish for you to get confused over.
I'm going to write about the EP as a whole instead of putting too much pressure on each of the tracks.
( Don't judge me, i know i'm lazy )
Album Art
What you see is what you get, that is what the Album art is all about.
I really like the the artwork here, it's weird in a good way and it gives you a feel of what kind of music they are going for.
(The red writing is signatures.. because science)
Still, the artwork don't really stand out but it looks good, the best part is in the booklet!
( The Booklet artwork is something i can't add now )
Covered in Blood
This is what god have said
And i will pay for revenge
What ? Hitmen are far too expensive..
The Music
This is no Gunther or Miley Cyrus.
This is Art
This is far more Heavy Metal than GuntherCyrus ( Of course )
The genre differs between the songs so it sounds a bit experimental, but it still has pretty heavy influence from Metallica and Kvelertak.
Metallica at its finest
The songs don't fit too good together but that is really common on EP's as your weird nudist uncle don't really have too many tracks to choose between.
The songs themselves is good but there is some flaws here and there, but all in all it's a good EP.
TrackList
1. Psychical War
2. The Horrible Existence
3. Metal Maniac
4. Covered In Blood
5. Get It On ( Turbonegro Cover )
Audio Quality ?
This is where most of the flaws actually are.
One problem is the drums, this album is recorded with electric drums so they sound weirdly tight.
The soundstage is a bit variable, it sounds nice on some tracks and on other it sounds like they mixed the songs for the Oh so popular " Music " headphones.
The most fitting picture i can find.
The Audio Quality is not something you need Hi-Fi speakers to enjoy, the audio compression is noticeable but it's something that is really easy to ignore with this type of music.
Is it worth the money ?
That depends, If you are into this type of music it's a good buy.
This is a good EP for what it is but this is a pretty niche genre of music so it's not for all.
